This policy covers the storage and optional tracking used by the Railways Booking website. For information about booking conversations and passenger details, read our Privacy Policy.
Essential preference storage
We use browser local storage, rather than a cookie, to remember your analytics and marketing choices. The saved preference contains those choices, a version number and the time you saved them. It does not contain your journey summary or passenger identity details.
The preference remains valid for up to 180 days from your latest saved choice. After it expires, the website asks you to choose again. Your browser may keep the underlying storage entry until it is replaced or you clear it.
Essential preference storage is always used when your browser allows it. If storage is unavailable, your choices apply to the current page but may not be remembered on your next visit. Optional tracking starts off by default.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics, when configured, loads only after you allow analytics. It can measure page visits and interactions such as preparing an inquiry summary or opening WhatsApp, and may process browser/device and technical visit information.
We do not attach journey form contents or passenger identity details to those events. Our page-location reporting omits URL query strings and fragments. Creating an inquiry summary is not reported as a confirmed booking.
Current configuration: Google Analytics is not configured, so this website does not load it.
Optional marketing
Meta Pixel, when configured, loads only after you allow marketing. It can measure page visits and interactions to help understand advertising performance. Analytics and marketing are separate choices.
Automatic Pixel configuration is disabled in our setup. Meta Pixel is skipped on pages whose URL contains a query string or fragment. Journey form contents are not deliberately attached to our custom tracking events.

Third-party cookie names and lifetimes depend on the provider and its active configuration. The 180-day preference period is not a guarantee that a provider’s cookies expire at the same time.
Choose or change your preferences
The cookie banner offers Accept all, Essential only, and Cookie settings. Accept all permits both optional categories; Essential only keeps both off. Cookie settings lets you choose analytics and marketing independently and save your preferences.
You can reopen settings using the button below or Cookie preferences in the footer. If you withdraw an active tracking permission, the website requests revocation and reloads. Optional tracking then stays off unless you allow it again.
Cookies already created by external providers may remain. To remove them, use your browser’s cookie and site-data controls. Clearing site data also removes our saved preference and causes the banner to ask again.
External services and browser controls
Opening WhatsApp or another external website takes you to a service with its own storage and privacy practices. Our cookie settings control optional tracking on this website; they do not control cookies on those external services.

Blocking preference storage may prevent your choices from being remembered. You can still read the website and prepare an inquiry without allowing optional analytics or marketing.
